Rachel Farber, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in women’s health and mental-emotional health, particularly working with people who struggle with disordered eating, depression, addiction, and hormonal imbalances. She is passionate about helping people live comfortably in their bodies. She partners with her clients to help them make peace with food and to make lifestyle choices that support vitality. Rachel incorporates acupuncture; far-infrared heat therapy; Swedish, shiatsu, tui na, and craniosacral bodywork; herbal medicine; and dietary therapy into her treatments. Rachel has been an acupuncturist since 2000. In addition to private practice, she is on the faculty of Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA.
She has recently established the bi-monthly community acupuncture clinic at the Lotus Center for Eating Dis-order Recovery. She also conducts group and private workshops for women who want to feel more at home in their bodies. Rachel has also taught at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Arcata School of Massage where she developed the Asian Bodywork Therapy curriculum. Rachel has been a devoted student of yoga for over 20 years, particularly Iyengar and Anusara style, and she teaches yoga to children and adults. She also loves crafting, cooking, writing and being outdoors.
